高遠ブックフェスティバル
長野県伊那市の
「高遠ブックフェスティバル」に出掛けた。
このイベントは今年が２回目。
大成功を収めた昨年よりグレードアップし
５日間、イベントが目白押し。
私が訪れた祝日の20日も、
小さな町は本好きの人たちで賑わっていた。
実は前日まで神奈川県厚木市の
「Ｂ級グルメの祭典 B-1グランプリ」に行っていた。
２日間で43万5千人というとんでもない入場者数。
会場だけでなく市内はどこも人、人、人で
あふれかえっていた。
それに比べると、まったりとしたこのブックフェスティバル、
風景や風土にぴったりと合い、
３時間ほどの短い滞在だったが
満足度は厚木よりずっと高かった。
基本は古本市で、
他に本にまつわるさまざまなイベントを開催している。
さらにはクラフトや食に関するショップも出店していて、
本を探し、小物を買い、
珈琲を飲み、地元の料理を食べるというように、
町歩きをしながらさまざまな要素で楽しむことができる。
主催者は、まだ日本には存在しない郊外型の「本の町」を
高遠で実現したいという。
本を核とした観光のスタイル”ブックツーリズム”という
まちづくりのコンセプトに共感を覚えた。
次回はぜひ宿泊して夜のイベントも楽しみたいと思った。

数は多くないがこだわった古本市

路上でのパフォーマンス 朗読だったのだろうか
民家や店舗前では無人古本市が
「本のための小さな家具展」はバスのターミナル待合室で
しりあがり寿作成の灯籠
